Material Changes to I-983 Training Plan

STEM OPT students must report to ISS when there are updates to employment that change a data field in the I-983 training plan.

Due Date: Earliest available opportunity

 

  1. Log in to your International Students & Scholars (ISS) Portal using the link below.
  2. Navigate to (2) Personal & Program and confirm that your U.S. physical address is current.
    • If your address is not up to date, update your  SEVIS Domestic Address  in your CSUF Portal.
  3. Navigate to (3) Requests & Documents and open the Practical Training (OPT or STEM-OPT) Employer Update.
    • Select the STEM OPT Employment Period
    • Click the Employer that you are modifying
    • Update the employment details as needed
    • Answer the question, How is your employment related to your course work?
    • Upload pages 1-4 of the I-983 ( refer to the guide to complete the I-983 )
    • Submit the form
